After a wonderful surprise going-away party with friends and several hours of connecting flights, I arrived in Israel at about 4pm this afternoon. Staying awake long enough to figure out how this blog works is conveniently doubling as an attempt to stave off the inevitable jetlag. I’ll be here for the next 3 days – long enough to see my brother, relatives, and enjoy my cousin’s wedding before flying to Asia. Perceptive comments evade me in the face of such little sleep, but I will say this: after the unceasing New York winter this year, the balmy 70 degree weather agrees with me.
